Mesquite Smoked Bratwurst,
Roasted Peppers and Sweet Onions,
Kraut and Dijon Pepper Cups
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 4 Bratwurst, Raw
- 1 Medium Sweet Yellow Onion, sliced
- 1 Yellow Bell Pepper
- 1 Red Bell Pepper
- 1/2 Cup Sauerkraut
- 1/2 Cup Dijon Mustard
Method:
- Begin by preparing your gas or charcoal grill according to the directions on the back label of the Timber Creek™ Smoking Tray.
- To create the bell pepper cups: cut off the bottom third from both the yellow and red bell peppers and remove any seeds.
- Fill one bell pepper cup with the sauerkraut and the other with the Dijon mustard.
- Cut the remaining peppers into julienne strips.
- Arrange the ingredient components in a Timber Creek™ Smoking Tray as shown in top right picture.
- Place the filled tray onto the preheated grill.
- Close the lid and cook for 30 to 45 minutes or until the internal temperature of the bratwurst reaches 165°F. (see bottom right picture)
